Managing Director Kiyoshi Joins Tribay Capital after a career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, McKinsey & Company, Bain Capital, and Saferay Japan. He has worked in various industries, but always at the cross section of finance and operational excellence. At McKinsey, he served Japanese Mega Banks, Global Investment Banks, and Top PE funds. At Bain Capital, he led deals such as Skylark and Oedo Onsen mainly on the value creation side. At Saferay Japan, he led the purchase, development, and financing of solar projects in excess of 100MW as its Japanese representative.
Managing Director：EPC Head Takashi Joins Tribay Capital after a career at JGC Corporation, Accenture, Toshiba and Saferay Construction. At JGC, he led international EPC projects mainly of large scale chemical plants across the Middle East, China, and the Philippines. At Toshiba, he led the global purchasing function for large scale thermal power plants. At Saferay Construction, he led projects combining global EPC capabilities and local project management in the renewables market.
Managing Director：Development Head Kensaku joins Tribay Capital after a career at Sogo Denki K.K. and J.S Brothers K.K. He has been in the solar market since 2007, and is considered one of the pioneers in the market. His experience ranges from rooftop installations, procurement, development, construction, financing, and O&M. At Sogo Denki, he built the solar business from scratch to a market leader in Nagasaki Prefecture. At J.S Brothers, he led the renewable energy business and built and or sold a pipeline of 190MW for his team and his partners. He is the go-to market expert across all elements of development.
Executive Advisor Yoriko supports Tribay Capital on fund raising and its portfolio companies across a wide range of topics. She comes with experience at Sumitomo Life Insurance, Smith Barney, Area Crest, and McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, she led projects in the high tech and IT fields as well as many public sector transformation projects. She has supported 6 IPOs and various fund vehicle developments across multiple Asian markets. She has built a career at the cross section of financing, and related legal structuring.
Managing Director, Singapore Office Head: Mr. Purington joined Tribay in 2019 from EverStream Capital, where he led the acquisition, financing, and sale of EverStream’s portfolio of 300+MW solar power projects in Japan alongside a major American bluechip investor. Previous to EverStream he worked as an infrastructure private equity investment professional at Highstar Capital, now part of Oaktree, in New York. Mr. Purington is a graduate of Yale University.
Managing Director, EPC Mr. Yonekura joined Tribay in 2019 from Amazon, where he led the planning and construction of warehouses and other infrastructure. Before Amazon, Mr. Yonekura worked as a project manager at two of Japan’s largest construction firms, JGC (Nikki) and Toshiba, where he managed the project execution of petrochemical and nuclear plants in the U.S. and China.
